I think I just renewed my license....

I can wonder no longer, got the email this morning, and I have indeed renewed my license
I'm a ham for another 10 years 🙂 But wow, what a confusing mess of a process. Even when you do it right, it's not overly clear that you did it right. ULS is still pretty much the same, and while not as user friendly as other sites. Really isn't that bad to deal with.
BUT CORES is a different story, even after the payment went though I was sure it did.

@kd8bxp I'll need to do that in a year or two; I hear that the process is not very clear, any tipps from your end?

@cgo
From ULS it's more or less the same as it has been, ULS will direct you to CORES for payment.

You need to setup a separate CORES account - this is the payment "gateway" I guess you'd call it.
And link your FRN number to that account.

I would recommend setting up your CORES account ahead of time.

The CORES site is kind of a mess thou, and it's not really clear what to once you link everything together.
Once you are done, update ULS..... >MORE<

@cgo
While in CORES make sure your address and information is upto date (At least in my case it was different then what ULS had on file) Go figure government having an address at least 10 years out of date.

3rd or 4th line in CORES is the payment option, ITS not real clear that is what it is - That showed me the pending amount - and took my info.

This is the point I'm at - they took the payment, but ULS hasn't updated yet - I guess it can take 3 or 4 days before it updates.

@cgo It's not real clear on what to do - nor is real clear if they actually got the payment.... from my bank I can see it was taken - but no email from CORES, just a form that says it worked.

I would save every pdf they will let you have, ect.

I'm honestly not sure if I really did it right, and guess I'll find out in a few days.
