I used to get regular notifications that I was to do a survey hosted on SurveyMonkey . I would delete them . Then the company asked why so few were responding to their surveys.
Well if you never announce you are doing them and have a another party with a weird name do them for you what did you expect?
@katemorley Clockify notifications in Pumble by Cake!
I have no idea what's going on there, but it sounds entertaining at least.
"So sign up, get the notifications notification, and never miss important updates" 😄
Instantly reminded me of Mr Collins in Pride and Prejudice.
"My small RECTory ABUTs her estate."
Pumble his clock!
@katemorley she pumbles my cake til i clockify
*throws myself out of window*
If someone told me I could get clockify notifications directly in Pumble, even without mentioning CAKE.com, I fear what I might do.
"Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday, and you're not feelin' real well, does anyone ever say to you, 'You can now receive clockify notifications directly in Pumble (by CAKE.com)''?
A Plumbus is an all-purpose home device. Everyone in the Rick and Morty universe has one, so nobody ever explains what it does or how it works. It was first shown in the episode, "Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate" where it was seen twice on the Interdimensional TV. First, when Stealy stole one from a workplace and again in an episode of How They Do It that shows the viewers how plumbuses are made. It is described as a common household and office item that is also used as an accent...
@katemorley It's not just productivity software. I saw this headline on hacker news the other day:
> Switching Pip to Uv in a Dockerized Flask / Django App
Sounds like absolute nonsense if you're not 100% in the know.
... I just realized that I'm 75% in the know on that reference. I want out.
If I ever learn what 'Pip to Uv' refers to, it's all over for me.

Oh well...
@mrcopilot Brass Eye was a surreal and satirical comedy show in the 90s. They persuaded some prominent celebrities at the time to make public info appeals in all seriousness about a new recreational drug that was sweeping the UK with terrible consequences. But the show had made it all up. The invented drug was called Cake
I love that when I went to cake.com to find out WTF it is, it has the slogan:
"Imagine work being simple"
Yep, keep imagining.
@targetdrone @katemorley a pumble is equivalent to a cockwomble.
Or ought to be, anyway.
