U.S. Resistance needs to approach the effort like a Backyard Ultra. We have to line up every hour, day, week, month and run our lap. Over and over again. There is no set distance. There is no finish line. We’ll only win when we wear them to the ground. And if don’t line up, we lose.

So that was what occupied my mind this morning. Otherwise, had a good little 3 miler. Shaved 0:30/mile off from about a month ago, same course, same avg HR.

Post-script: For clarity, “we” is the opposition as a whole, not individuals. As individuals, we need to bring what we’re able to in the moment.

@Runningpunk Solid run with some solid thoughts. And, as with an Ultra, we need to recognize the different skill sets and comfort levels that each person in any resistance effort. Where I frequently see things break down is when the infighting occurs with comments like “you’re not doing enough” or “it is about my issue first not your issue”.

@clovertalk Excellent point. In this case, it’s a relay, and we all get to be tagged in and out as able.

That in-fighting and comparing efforts… ugh… I don’t get that. Those people must have no lives or responsibilities—no kids, no elderly parents, no bills to pay, no outside hobbies keeping them sane. No, we have to show grace. A kinder world is what we’re fighting for after-all.

@Runningpunk A kinder world, yes indeed. Love the relay analogy!
