I am multifaceted. Here are the areas I currently identify with strongly: Trail runner, amateur photog, meditator, security professional, coffee lover.
Doing the work to keep moving forward, and doing my best to stay curious.

One of things that will sometimes come up for me is sometimes, am I really an ultra runner if I haven’t run a 100 mile race? I think I heard someone say you “need a buckle to really be an ultra runner” once. This would have been at the very beginning of my journey. Solid chance they were joking. Haven’t heard it repeated either, yet it will pop up in my mind one in awhile. I know it’s not true and…https://runtrimag.com/overcoming-imposter-syndrome-in-endurance-athletes/ #ultrarunning #impostersyndrome (2/2)

An article with excellent reminders on how to keep moving forward. Progress, not perfection. (1/2)
Solid reporting on some serious security vulnerabilities found in all Coros devices that Coros initially did not address appropriately. They have now provided a timeline for updates which hopefully they can hit. Not a great look, and, as the article mentions, pretty typical reactive security versus proactive security that is way too common in this day and age. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2025/06/coros-confirms-substantial-watch-security-vulnerablity-says-fixes-are-coming.html #cybersecurity #coros
COROS Confirms Substantial Watch Security Vulnerability: Says Fixes Are Coming

A German IT security firm has published a list of 8 different security bugs found in all COROS watches that give essentially full access to not only the user's watch, but also their COROS account. This includes everything from

Looking forward to having more information on Monday so I can understand the timeline for my return to running. Been doing more strength training and yoga, and will be building running back in with those habits in a more consistent fashion. (2/2)

The MRI results are in from the radiologist and no severe tearing! Have my appointment with the doctor for the official prognosis and treatment plan option on Monday.

It looks like PRP is a viable treatment option for most of the issues, so will definitely bring that up if they do not. There are some loose bodies in the medial compartment which might need arthroscopic surgery to remove. (1/2)

The goal: to be running with the pack again sooner rather than later. #Trailrunning #recovery #injury

And, in the US, it is frustrating to watch one side of the aisle support it, and the other side condemn it when, if it were a Democratic president, the reverse would be true. Being against war and killing others should not be a partisan issue. Full stop.

And no, I don’t think this will lead to WWIII. At least not at the scale that WWI and II were at. A cyber WWIII seems more likely. 2/2

I woke up this morning wanting to post about how being injured has fully reminded me how important running is to me…and then I saw the news.

At what point do we learn from history and stop killing each other. Stop escalating situations. The power grabbing, the greed, the lies, the complete and utter lack of ability to see the forest for the trees. We have seen how bombing another country plays out before. 1/2

My one question for you all: if you know of a solid PT in the Woodland/Ridgefield WA area, I would appreciate knowing about them. 4/4
Needless to say, I am not currently running. I have pivoted to more strength training and more sauna. Per a recent recommendation, I will also be setting up the bike trainer for light resistance work. 3/4
