"America has been vaccinating people for fifty years. If vaccines caused autism, America would have trains, okay? We would have so many trains." - Jon Allen
@mhoye @wendynather 🤔😳💯🤣 So. Many. Trains. (of all kinds, and street cars!)
@mhoye Now there's a zinger.
@mhoye Truer words were never spoken.
@mhoye
And they'd be really good trains, too, not the antiquated stuff we have now.
@Guillotine_Jones @mhoye counterpoint: the antiquated stuff but maintained and operated *really* well
@mhoye ... "and a dedicated d&d carriage" in the clip I saw ...
@mhoye if there was an "autism epidemic" we would have high speed rail in the US by now. But we don't
@mhoye If America hadn’t vaccinated for 50 years there wouldn’t be 340 million of them.

@mhoye You made my whole week, and this was the worst week in a long time, so thank you

(blows wooden train whistle)

@mhoye yes I mean it really is that simple though isn't it? if vaccines really were as disastrous as certain people like to claim, it'd be blatantly obvious by now

Literally billions of people have been vaccinated in one way or another

Obviously not every vaccine is the same, minor issues do happen and it's right to monitor that

But if even a fraction of what the average antivaxxer believes was true it'd be unavoidably obviously true already, we've been doing this at scale for a while now…

@mhoye Fifty years? It's been more than a century. Two centuries if you count variolation.
