Timbers. These are exposed frames of a "half-timbered" house on Castle Green; they date from the 16th to 17th century! The brick panels are later additions; they would originally have been "wattle and daub", ie mud. I found a long-expired roll of Konica VX 200 Super colour film from a past Secret Santa, and decided to rate it at EI 50 and try some Intentional Camera Movement (#ICM). TBH it didn't really work out well, but maybe a few are worth showing. Crackley Wood...

I missed this roll of #Kodak200 from my #OlympusMju2. It's always in my jacket pocket, and when I'm out with black & white film and colour is called for, out it comes. I'm getting slightly better results now I remember to turn off flash in lower light frames! This roll was devved by Darkroom UK and scanned by me with Vuescan Pro; colours turned out better than I'd expected. I did scan a couple to RAW for inversion in @darktable but I've not tried that yet.

Magnolia. With this roll I was giving my Vivitar 35-70 zoom a run. I pretty much gave up zooms a few years ago, but it is a really nice lens, replacing the Pentax M 35-70 lens I destroyed on a rocky beach near the Forth Road bridge, years ago!

@deegeetee Thank you so much. The tulips were beautiful, the light was OK, and the lens is a cracker, so what more can one want. But I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
@carusb Porta sure has beautiful colours.
@tapasinthesun I always used to prefer Portra 400 but these rolls of Portra 160 I got on a deal from Analogue Wonderland are really lovely. The rest of the roll doesn't quite keep up, though!
@carusb Porta is a bit of luxury these days because of its price. 160 is cheaper than 400 here, so that is what I use.

@tomnorthfilm It has been very dry for the past few weeks, but not back when these were taken. I think it's just that the leaves were very new; they fill out, strengthen and spread out later, before, sadly, very quickly getting affected by the ubiquitous horse chestnut leaf miner pest that causes ugly brown blotches on all the leaves as the larvae munch there way through the insides! https://www.forestresearch.gov.uk/tools-and-resources/fthr/pest-and-disease-resources/horse-chestnut-leaf-miner-cameraria-ohridella/
