🇮🇶 CONFIRMED: Kirkuk Airport confirms the update we posted recently stating that three projectiles fell on the airport grounds, one person was injured, and a small fire broke out. There is no damage to the runway or main facilities.

🇮🇶 Local media say Katyusha or Grad rockets were fired at Kirkuk International Airport in northern Iraq, but they missed their intended targets and caused no major damage.

However, one rocket did hit a residential house, and debris found in the Al-‘Uruba neighborhood appears to be from a Katyusha missile, matching similar attacks in Iraq where these rockets are often used and sometimes land in civilian areas without causing casualties.

🇮🇶🇹🇷 Initial reports that the shells used to strike #Erbil, Iraq, are #Turkish-made 122 mm TRG-122 rockets.
