@rolle true💙I'm artist this is sad and my concern keeps growing.

@rolle And then you start counting fingers in the pic and wonder if it was created with AI.

It's so, so sad indeed.

@rolle

...and seeing some "funny" AI slop circulating on Mastodon just now, makes me wish there was a feature to flag AI content, just like it's possible to flag other inapproriate material...

Edit: as it happens, there already is a request for this in Mastodon upstream: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/30277

@Turre @rolle I'd rather like to see a more generic solution. glitch-soc mastodon fork is getting emoji reactions, maybe we can just use 💩 emoji until an AI slop emoji is invented.
@rolle Two decades ago you’d post a funny photo you took and there’d be six comments saying “photoshopped”.

@rolle It really is.

I dabble in writing, and when i post ,my work on other sites people, go " IS this AI" or " Oh this must be AI"

no...

I spennd many hours on that...days, weeks even months,.

@rolle They fucking destroyed a big part of that makes humans human, namely connecting to each other, and installed a permanent climate of low-key generalised suspicion. Thank you fucking AI-bros 🤬
@toybox @rolle

@rolle Well, images, videos and written text had a good run.

Now it's written books and stuff via archive.org that can be somewhat trusted.

On the bright side, more time for #gardening now 😅

@ekari @rolle

I’m relying more on my cookbooks because I’ve seen some really dumb recipes online recently.

@rolle slop = spam

And just like the spam of old, allowing slop to invade any online space instantly lowers the value of that space and sets it on a dramatic downward trajectory to zero.

@rolle This, it breaks my heart.
