This is great to see! There have been quite frequent requests for a Fediverse alternative to Strava etc, brilliant that it is happening 🥳
Glad you guys like it!
@box464 nice!
I just tried adding a new trail to the demo instance. Seemed to go quite well!
I’ve not figured out how to share the trail on the fediverse for likes and reposts.
@box464 so now I found how to follow the demo account by searching for @demo in my mastodon home. The profile page at https://demo.wanderer.to/profile/@demo does not show the trail I added.
I also noticed that searching for the trail and clicking on the item in the results dropdown adjacent to the search box leads to a 404. Maybe my entry did not get fully added correctly. Maybe it’s still working through some eventual consistency many minutes later. 🤷
Hey there,
Can you walk me through the steps to reproduce this? I can see your trail here:
https://demo.wanderer.to/trail/view/@demo/189dcd6035ab57c
As well as on the demo site:
https://demo.wanderer.to/trail/view/@demo/189dcd6035ab57c
Ah, understood. Yes, I messed up. This will be fixed in the next patch.
@flomp I guess there were two issues I mentioned. The other thing is that the post didn’t get replicated to mastodon.social.
I now see it at
https://demo.wanderer.to/profile/@demo
But not at
https://mastodon.social/@demo@demo.wanderer.to
Subsequent to following the demo account I have seen at least one other trail appear on mastodon.social.
