Do any #linux wizards know why the control key is the preferred modifier for applications? I think the super key is the superior one, and it's so difficult to change this behaviour in a lot of apps.
@legoraft Not sure what exactly you mean. Usually the super key is for your Window manager / Desktop Environment / Operating System layer. Personally when I press the super key I am trying to manipulate a window not the application itself.
Could you give some examples?

@Xionical I prefer using the super or alt key within applications as well, as it's a bit more ergonomic to press. It's just annoying that you often can't change the default modifier within a lot of application's settings.

It could be that I'm just weird as I'm running a mac as well as a pc as my daily driver.
