One of the things that suprise me the most about my #linux computer: I’m having so much fun!

I haven’t had this much fun with an OS for years, and I love how the opportunities and in some extend limitations make me think creative about how I use my laptop.

My MacBook really isn’t, and never has been, fun. It’s nice, quiet, powerful and all, but not fun in the same way my Linux laptop is.

This has been the same for nearly all the distros I tried.

I’m starting to sound fan-boy-ish…

I feel like people think Linux users are rude because Windows users are so incredibly toxic the moment you mention that you use Linux that we're just very guarded nowadays.

I don't want your CoPilot or your Recall or your AI whatever, or any features that work with it or require it, and I don't feel like rooting through the system settings or registry desperately trying to find ways to disable your new bullshit.

Anyone in #Android #softwaredevelopment #softwareengineering have a recommendation for UI #framework with a small footprint?

I prefer something that looks okay, but has a manageable dependency tree and codebase-size such that there is some ability to feel like that the scale of what needs to be trusted is at least somewhat reasonable.
