I take it all back. $45 million was a small price to pay to humiliate President Trump at his own parade and mobilize millions of Americans across the nation to demonstrate against him.

@MissingThePt

Bonus missed point, he looked bored AF. He was not having a good time, from the look of it.

@MissingThePt as usual, he missed the secret ingredient from russian and north korean military "parades": compulsory attendance

@P__X @MissingThePt

AND compulsory enthusiasm.

@mmiasma @MissingThePt plus planning, and executions for non-compliance. But we shouldn't be too hard on him. We're all new to this fascism shit.

@MissingThePt

And they did it all for free… in fact they should do it again…

@MissingThePt
It's like Poilievre demanding to remain Leader and live off the Canadian people, even after he lost his seat. Yes, it's revolting and a waste of tax dollars, but he will keep Maple MAGA in the wilderness. The Trump stench never comes off.

The money for his mansion is a small price to pay to keep his party out of power and Canadian democracy safe from them.

@MaryAustinBooks @MissingThePt It would be very interesting to see what happens if he lost the by-election, whenever that might be. Hopefully he'll get the hint.
@MissingThePt $45 mil for a nationwide parade he wasn't invited to; well done, friends.
@MissingThePt once again you have hit the point squarely instead of missing it. You might need to start drinking more.
@MissingThePt I'm missing the point you think you're missing, because your missed point pointedly didn't miss.

@MissingThePt

Too bad it didn't come from his own pocket instead of ours. Maybe that just pissed off his die-hards among the little people enough to make them take a few moments and think, though.

@MissingThePt it's really not for Trump it's the 250thThe U.S. Army's 250th anniversary parade, held in Washington, D.C. on June 14, 2025, is estimated to have cost between $25 million and $45 million. Some reports suggest the cost could be as high as $92 million, including $13 million for police expenses alone, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

@ajkiller The Army had events planned, but the parade was his idea. He'd been nagging for a parade all through his first term.

The other military branches will be having their 250th this year as well. No parades planned for them.

@MissingThePt @ajkiller
Yeah, whatevs.
@Kirsty @MissingThePt if I said anything that was rude not my intention, and very sorry, I respect everyone.

@ajkiller @MissingThePt

It was my response that was rude. Sorry.

Unfortunately, no matter the “official” occasion, it will be seen as Trump’s birthday parade.

I enjoyed the snippets I saw of soldiers marching out of time and others waving to the crowd from tanks.
Clearly not drilled in the art of parading. And that’s fine - I’m sure they spend their time on more valuable training exercises.

@Kirsty @MissingThePt ahh it's all good, I'm an old IRCER things get heated sometimes, no sweat off my balls, LOL
@MissingThePt He got his just desserts after firing all of the competent people within the government. 👎 😈 👎
@MissingThePt And big ups to God for RAINING on Emperor Trump's soggy ass while he sat outside to see a bunch of unenthusiastic soldiers forced to walk past him on his birthday.
#trump

@kurtsh @MissingThePt

He looks like he could fall asleep at any moment.

@MissingThePt This was my takeaway too.
