This is Senate House in London. When George Orwell wrote 1984, the building served as the model for the headquarters of the Ministry of Truth (the propaganda ministry). The Ministry of Truth decided what was true, for example that 2+2=5. It was responsible for censorship and rewriting history, and it banned the word “free” in the sense of freedom.

Kind of astonishing that local governments facilitated this without any public input. On the sly. #Minnesota #Google #DataCenters #landusepolicies #Duluth #Secrecy #WaterSupplies #EnergyUse

Holy, smke, BatMan. Asahi Linux just updated itself from Fedora 42 to Fedora 43. Quickly, just 2 shell commands. No fumbling to add a new repository or any of that last century rubbish.
#AsahiLinux #fedora43kde looking good. #BravoZulu Fedora.

Can we take a second to appreciate the awesome municipal workers out plowing and keeping our cities moving? From the state-level workers clearing the highways to the parks people keeping the bike lanes clear and everyone in between, these folks do an awesome job of keeping us going when we get massive amounts of snow like this.

Just so we’re 1000% clear: no state or local government should be giving financial incentives to build a data center. If anything, it should come with increased taxation—because wherever they go, they gobble up water and energy. They should be paying locals for the privilege of being tolerated.
