Always a worrying sign when, after giving a conference talk, the first feedback people give you is "wah, that was brave!" 😳

@anna It means you're doing the Right Thing.
@onierstrasz Haha I hope so! I also received a lot of compliments, and a lot of attention at my poster, so I guess that's good :)
@anna Isn't that a *good* sign, since you're just saying what everyone was thinking but too afraid to say out loud?

@jesper Nah, now you give me too much credit. I think part of it was on the form (hand-drawn slides). People commented on it being scary to go for a completely different style of talk than others, and going for a different style of poster also.

Although... I overheard another attendee on the phone at some point, when he went: "I probably shouldn't say this, 'cause she's sitting right next to me, but there was this woman who gave a really excellent talk. Broad, high-level, putting up a big show. Just the way talks at this venue should be."

So that was kinda fun ^^

@anna That was brave. Wonderful that someone can stand up and say this. :-#
@hakona Maybe. I guess it was more about form than content, tho. Still, I guess overall it was positive?
