Trump Delegitimizes Courts by Pardoning Guilty

@lillyfinch

When I saw he pardoned the January 6 criminals, I immediately he thought he's changing the rule of law to rule by the lawless.

@trabex one of the first thing Hitler did was take out the judiciary. 🙏🤞🏻🙏🤞🏻🙏 ours holds…so far they are but with corrupt SCOTUS ????

@lillyfinch

The only thing that will solve this crisis is to break the Republican Party and end all of their think tanks and advocacy groups.

@trabex yes….It is my wish this Republican Party be destroyed as a result of their actions. The Heritage Foundation should be found guilty of sedition and conspiracy to overthrow our democracy.

@lillyfinch

Every single think tank needs to be broken and destroyed. Heritage Foundation, Federalist Society, Alliance Defending Freedom, Moms for Liberty, National Rifle Association, etc...destroy all of them.

@trabex skimming close to free speech. The definition of Sedition maybe needs to be more clearly defined. But you can never stop ideas no matter how awful. You just drive them unground. Basically what the heritage did. They are just showing their true colors now

@lillyfinch

They're conspirators to treason, sedition, and who knows how many other crimes.

No one said the "the Nazis have a right to free speech," when they set up the Nuremburg Trials.

We need an analogue of that in America.

I am completely done with Republicans and all their crap.

@trabex you are not alone. We do need a tribunal and massive investigation into how it happened, why it happen and what new laws need to be written into the constitution to prevent if from happening again. It must not be forgotten or forgiven
@lillyfinch to liberals, committing crimes makes a person a criminal; to conservatives, being a criminal makes a person’s actions crimes.
@theothersimo ? Not sure I get that. I would say for Trump, hopefully not for the majority of Republicans, a criminal is someone to be admired. Dog eat dog world and smart dogs get away with it.
@lillyfinch not at all. As in Trumps example, a “good person” can break all the laws he wants and not be a criminal, because any law that pretends to bind good people is illegitimate. Conversely a bad person is a criminal regardless of the technicality of whether any laws were broken.

@lillyfinch Trump & his regime are obstructing justice & U.S. government, creating a mafia state like Putin's.

Normally you'd call that an insurrection against the authority of the United States & the laws thereof — hadn't Trump & his subversive Heritage Foundation puppeteers corrupted/ compromised a whole Executive branch incl. DOJ leadership, supported by about half of the Legislative branch.

18 U.S.C. § 2383

"Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
