Who else loves the freedom of self-hosting with Docker? 🐳 From homelab enthusiasts to those just dipping their toes, what's your favorite Docker container that you couldn't live without? Let's swap some ideas—and maybe discover something new together! #SelfHosting #Docker #Homelab
@dbtechyt I should have known about it long time ago, but I just discovered https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/adguardhome-sync and it is making my life so much easier.
@a 100% agreed! I made a video about it a few years ago and have been loving it since!

@dbtechyt I really like the Tools Collection from

https://github.com/sharevb/it-tools/

And Rustdesk, which is a bit tricky.

@nikomat Interesting. I'm familiar with the original version from Corentin, but was unaware of this fork by shrevb
@dbtechyt I found it on a research and used this. The original was somehow abonded.
@nikomat Not necessarily abandoned, just other projects took priority. chatting with the dev right now and he's got a plan for a new major version of the project :)
@dbtechyt Yes, probably. But great news. The fork is quite activly maintained and I start using it a lot.
@dbtechyt I’d say all of them!! But pi-hole + unbound, tailscale and jellyfin are my favorites!!
@dbtechyt Those would be #ShellNGN and #vaultwarden to start with #mattermost following close on 3rd place. About 80 more containers afterwards
@dbtechyt My favorite #podman container itzg's Minecraft Server xD
@dbtechyt Gotify notification server along with the Android app is the one I couldn't live without. https://github.com/gotify/server/
Headscale, Vaultwarden, Home Assistant, FreshRSS, Jellyfin with Yamtrack for tracking, TubeArchivist, Audiobookshelf, Booklore, Readeck, Linkding, Many-notes, Docmost, Paperless-ngx, Owntracks, ESPHome, Gitea, Cup and GoToSocial are my top tier ones. The list goes on...

@alexk7110 I'm a big fan of several of those! Gotify has been a great tool that I ignore too often lol
@dbtechyt $packageManagerName remove docker
@justin @dbtechyt I also try to run as much as I can on bare metal. I understand the benefits of docker and still run some important services in containers, but if you don't have a binary or a package I tend to look else where.
@train @justin that's the great thing about self-hosting: there are SO many ways to do it that fit all kinds of use-cases and preferences!
@dbtechyt @train and then there's discourse who don't offer anything but docker. 😡
