Showed up to take a patient out of the ER after a fall with a head strike on thinners and the first thing I noticed was his left pupil was twice the size of the right.

Turns out he's blind in that eye and it's chronic but it gave me pause. His nurse had just taken over and hadn't even noticed.

Had a pt, similar case, whose left eye reacted to light and the other eye just didn't. I guess he saw me raise an eyebrow because he quickly told me that it's a prosthetic 😅

I think it's pretty cool, though, that prosthetics got so good you sometimes can't tell the difference.

@DastardlyBadger haha, that's a good one. It's surprisingly hard to spot a good glass eye.
