I take my son to the train station for hours to watch trains pass by. He loves it and I get emotional because it's where my grandparents would bring me 30 plus years ago

My grandfather wheeled me in my pram, before I could walk, to watch the steam trains heading into and out of Birmingham on the Wolverhampton main line that runs beside the canal in Winson Green in Brum.

@RobertJackson58585858 @fesshole my grandfather would take me to Wokingham, and we'd stand on the footbridge, waiting for a train to come from Guildford along the line you could see down for ever, or for one to suddenly appear around the corner coming from Waterloo.

Must be nice to have trains to watch.
There are literally no trains left in my part of Canada. The last railway was turned into a bike path a few years ago.
