@micr0 The image shows a screenshot of a Twitter post by Eric Jorgenson ([@]EricJorgenson). The post reads: "Capitalism needs a logo. It's a huge miss that Communism has the Hammer & Sickle (which actually goes hard) and Capitalism has nothing. Let's do better branding for Capitalism!" The post has garnered 3.2 million views, 1.7K comments, 759 retweets, 6.8K likes, and 491 bookmarks. Below the original tweet, there is a reply from user MATSCHARELLI ([@]matscharelli) with a logo featuring a stylized dollar sign within a circle on a yellow background. The logo is a play on the Nazi swastika, symbolizing a critique of the original tweet's suggestion.

@altbot holy shit altbot you are goated
@altbot
Wow, that's a crazy analysis for a bot. Even got the swastika thing right. Wish we could figure out the reasoning for this 😱
@micr0
@altbot @micr0 Wow man!! You are so great 🔥🔥
@micr0 I must say that the logo couldn't have been better. It's just a masterpiece
@micr0
Oh, yes, that's awfully good. 🙂
@micr0
That is brilliant.. copy.
@micr0 I love the design! Does the Yellow has a meaning?
@dacig @micr0 piss

- carrie
@aperture @dacig @micr0 I assume it's the demonetization symbol from YouTube, which symbolizes how small creators struggle to earn a living whilst the corporations are increasingly hostile and greedy, earning record profits every quarter while, and paying nothing to the working class who are living paycheck to paycheck and can barely afford necessities.

it's definitely not piss though because piss is actually cool unlike capitalism
@sodiboo @dacig @micr0 nah mate it's piss

- carrie
@sodiboo @micr0 @aperture @dacig It’s definitely piss yellow, symbolizing trickle down economics pissing on us and calling it rain.
@dacig @micr0 There is a faction called ancaps, anarcho-capitalists, who use a black and yellow flag. The yellow distinguishes them from other “anarcho” ideology flags. However ancaps are actually fascists, and they should have the word “anarchist” smacked out of their mouths.

@Moss @dacig @micr0

Destroy all unjust* hierarchies! (*except corporate hierarchies, landlord-tenant hierarchies, employer-employee power dynamics, billionaires hoarding resources, private security forces with qualified immunity, paywalled healthcare systems, subscription-based food access, algorithmic control of information, social credit tied to spending habits, monopolistic tech empires, rentier capitalism, and wage slavery—those are just “voluntary exchanges,” bro.)

@Moss @micr0 Oh, Ancaps like Milei 💩🪰🪰,.Got you

@dacig

yes, check the anarcho capitalist logo, that with the snake

@micr0

@dacig @micr0 it's the color of betrayal.
@dacig @micr0 The yellow and black could be a nod to the flag of anarcho-capitalism.
@dacig Probably similar to anarcho-capitalism, meant to resemble gold. Green would probably work for a classic dollar look, but imo yellow was a perfect choice here because of how ugly it looks, really like a faded red of an enshittified printer that still has yellow but run out of magenta or magenta pigment was less stable and faded since 1939. It also looks like piss. @micr0
@micr0 lol - master trolling?
@micr0 "imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever"
-Orwell
@micr0 lmao, it's perfectly apt for Capitalism. It's hideous, unoriginal, lazy af, and it's basically fascism with a new coat of paint
@micr0 that's very fitting branding
@micr0 That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all week
@micr0 with shades of nazi swastika, perfect.
@micr0 I mean... It's definitely the most ACCURATE flag for capitalism.

@micr0
Make it a little orange/gold and you have
The Turnip/MAGA flag.

Has anyone seen this before? It's brilliant. It's the $wastica-pitalism.

@RustedComputing @micr0, well, I've seen that exact $ before. It's exactly the shape of the $ character in the ZX Spectrum, ZX81 and (presumably) ZX80 character sets.

I would, however, be very surprised if this is anything other than total co-incidence.

@lp0_on_fire @micr0 not sure. Unless you mean that is also tilted at 45 degrees. Then, yes, of course, absolutely a coincidence. Just a running dollar sign...
@micr0
Crony Capitalism - to be accurate
@aquarius1842 @micr0 the accumulation of capital by the wealthy is a central right in capitalism of any kind. Capital represents power, and at a certain level includes the power to buy politicians. There is no capitalism that is not or does not eventually become crony capitalism.
@capriciousday @aquarius1842 all transactional relationships are capitalism. Only robust public participation in democratic governance can effectively limit the rapacious tendencies inherent to capitalism.

@aquarius1842
That's... the only capitalism that exists.

@micr0

@micr0 that designer is a fucking genius

@micr0

Makes one wonder indeed…

@micr0 One presumes the yellow is a reference to "trickle-down economics".

@micr0

A boot crushing a human face forever.

@micr0 This logo has perfectly captured the essence of capitalism, I wish it all the success it deserves.
@micr0
Now we need an hymn.
Communism had the State Anthemn of The Soviet Union sung by the Red Army Choir
Hesitating between Katy Perry's "California Girls" and Windows 11 startup sound

@Monsieur_Lepetit @micr0

Is anyone able to post the flag in a downloadable form?

@Monsieur_Lepetit @micr0 what's the one with "all I wanna do is *bang bang bang bang*"

or RTGame's remix of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. intro with gunshots in

@micr0 The obvious reason is that capitalism isn't a totalitarian or group ideology, hence why it doesn't have a unique leader or a symbol that you have to follow and that serves to know whether you belong to the privileged group or not. Every cult has a symbol, even national flags and other flags are cult like to some extent, the symbol is what unifies that mass of people and differentiates them from the rest, it's deeply tied to a group identity.
