There are news stories today claiming that Pete #Hegseth, Trump's, uh, ... unconventional ... pick for Secretary of Defence, wants to cut the number of generals and admirals across the board by 10%, and up to 25% on four-stars and above.

I think they're misreporting this. Pete was actually asking for 25% price reductions on Admiral Nelson's Rum and Los Generales Tequila.

Yes, *every* action taken by President Miller and his meatpuppet Trump are for the purpose of bringing everything under the control of an all-powerful President/King ("unitary executive" theory).

On a personal note (assuming you're USAnian), I truly hope you are successful in eventually restoring your republic from its current switch to an autocratic dictatorship.
