Wanted a margarita but didn't have fresh citrus. Had a lot of goldenberries from the farmer's market (my obsession) that were blissfully tart this go around, so...

2 oz. / 60mL blanco tequila
0.5 oz. / 15mL Cointreau
0.25 oz. / 7.5mL raw agave nectar
0.25 oz. / 7.5mL Luxardo cherry liqueur
5 large fresh goldenberries, muddled
1 dash habanero bitters

Shaken and double-strained. Straight up and naked, just like I like it.

Added the bitters after because it was a shade too sweet, and Scrappy's Firewater always works wonders with tropical and sweet. Acidity is subdued, but there. Astringency from slightly aggressive muddling isn't unwelcome. Complex, balanced, and easy sipping. KS tequila is mild; the synthesis pushes all of its floral notes forward. More expensive tequila would be a waste with this.

Its so gorgeously tiger-orange~

Warehouse distribution is something of my specialty and I know intimately how a software upgrade can bring operations down.

I also know it's completely avoidable.

When there's a SINGLE distributor in the market and they're not providing any communication - for months - then this is the fault of the state government who made this arrangement to begin with.

Almost seems like an intentional ploy to make the state go dry.
