Success! I sniped one of only two freely available seats in that fully booked-out train!
Hmm... Deutsche Bahn told me yesterday that the train might be crowded, but didn't let me make a seat reservation.
Today, the train is fully booked-out, one cannot even order a ticket any more.
Now the conductor announces that the train consists of only one section instead of two and that carriages 31-39 are not available.
Fingers crossed that I can keep my precious seat, because reservations for the missing carriages with matching reservations have priority...
"Wir erreichen demnächst Frankfurt Süd, leider 12 Minuten zu früh. Wir haben jetzt eine planmäßige Standzeit bis 14:16 Uhr."
Es geschehen noch Zeichen und Wunder bei der Bahn. Ich tippe auf +34 in Düsseldorf dann...
Jetzt habe ich doch völlig den Telewink zu @webrocker, @beckenhaub und @cafffm vergessen... Gerade schon beim letzten Zwischenhalt Köln Deutz angekommen, bisher noch mehr als in der Zeit!
Fun fact: I'm still sitting on the same seat from the beginning of the trip. Train is overly empty right now, about a dozen people in my wagon. Nothing to complain about during the whole trip... That's in a way surprising...
That brings me to the next steps... Who's residing at niu:tab or HolidayInn? Any plans when to leave for the warm-up party?
