For anyone using macOS who liberally uses command line and also processes images.

Do you know about sips? “Scriptable Image Processing System.” It’s image processing from the terminal.

Every time I use it I’m grateful. I’m also realizing that lots of folks may not know it exists.

Example:
sips –resampleWidth 1200 *.png

That resizes every PNG in a directory to 1200px wide, while respecting the existing aspect ratio. Even if they’re all different.

Yesterday I published the 2,000th post on the photo blog! Kind of a cool milestone. It took ~9.8 years or 3,577 days to get here. That is one post roughly every other day for nearly a decade! 🤯 (The last couple of years definitely helped to get that statistic up!)

Google's been killing uBlock Origin in Chrome one flag at a time. Chrome 150 arrives end of June and takes the last workarounds with it. I said in February this was coming. If you haven't already, now's the time to degoogle.
