MightyBigCar#HandsOff in #SantaCruz has a great turnout. Don't have a crowd estimate yet, but the plaza and parking lot was filled and folks lined neighboring streets. Lots of honking and waving. Excellent vibe, too - cheerful peaceful pissed-off people.*
KristoforReports are that at noon today there were 5000 people at #HandsOff #SantaCruz and 400 people in #Watsonville . That's about 2% of the total county population, and doesn't account for (a) small protests in small towns like the dozen people in #BoulderCreek or (b) people were coming and going from the larger events the whole time. I can't even guess how many in total actually participated, but regardless: Way To Go, #SCruz!
