Milano-Sanremo Donne is fine the way it is. It delivered what we expected of it: a toss up between a solo win, a sprint-a-deux (or 3) and a small group sprint. The fact that Wiebes won doesn't mean the race is too easy, she's just that good. Kool wasn't there, Gillespie and Consonni weren't there either. Wiebes was sprinting against the same bunch of women who sprinted on the velodrome in Roubaix last year, the same women who typically sprint in Binda or in Amstel.

@cloudedjudge Agree. You can’t think of winning if you are in the same group as Wiebes (especially if she has Kopecky as a lead-out.)

That said, I wouldn’t mind if they made the race a little longer. Say, 180km?

@Pentaxke I'm sure the women can do 180, but it's not gonna change the race final. Just like the men doing 250 or 325 is not gonna change the final. Peoples who say the women's race was boring and something has to change should not watch MSR. It's not for them, and that's ok. This year's women's race: The best climber got over the Pogio first without a gap, at the bottom a small group comes together, some attacks, the world champ neutralizes the attacks and the best sprinter wins. Or was that last year's men's race?
