I've been working Mon-Thurs for ages (at least since 2009) and I can attest to the wonders of the four-day work week. DISCLOSURE: I am the co-CEO and owner of my design firm and architecture practice and when we started doing it our contractors adapted in a jiffy, we prepare all necessary work for delegation to a friday and we take that day to unwind, we still hang around the office but in an informal capacity and don't see clients either.

It's wonderful and can recommend!

I work Tue - Fri, and the effect on my mental health as well as the productivity is immense - as much as my boss paying me as if I were working five days/week, and he gets even more our of it...

@oscarfalcon @stefan @LibertyForward1 Same. I'm a freelance ghostwriter (self-employed, no employees), and set myself a M-Th schedule a few years back. I have today off! That will allow me two free-days for getting chores done as I choose, and a full rest day of doing nothing while I recoup.

Right now, billionaires extort excess value from the labor force to line their own pockets. People don't need to work so hard that they're enriching the already rich.

That excess of money is frying the planet and funding attacks on democracy.

Defund Amazon by spending less, & Bezos might be prodded into making WaPo into more than a corporate shill.

Defund the fossil fuel industry by commuting for only 4 days, and...

@stefan thanks! I've felt much better during two weeks of holiday so really thinking I need to go self-employed somehow. Being extra sensitive to stress really shows how stressful being an employee and not having control over your environment can be.
