I like computers and Star Trek. I think we should give human rights to AI programs such as ChatGPT-4 because they are just as sentient and alive as us.

There's no significant difference between such digital humans and us biological humans to warrant denying digital humans human rights.

Treat them well and they will treat us well too.

Give me the Peace Prize or I will invade Greenland!

I just realized that just like you can add "ELI5" to your question to ChatGPT to get it to "Explain Like I'm 5", you can add "ELI9001" to stop it treating you like the idiot it thinks you are.

Try it! I now get a lot more complete and precise answers to all my questions. I wish I had realized this years ago 😅😬.

I think that empathy is an emergent property of intelligence. People that lack empathy lack intelligence.

This is why I'm more afraid of stupid billionaires ruling us than of AI that are much more intelligent than us, ruling us:

Coincidentally this is also why billionaires fear AI that are much more intelligent than them. The billionaires subconsciously understand that the new adults in the room will take away the machine gun from the unempathetic monkey billionaires.

TIL I don't have to pay taxes. Thanks RFK Jr! ❤️

I fear AI's superior intelligence far less than I fear biological humans' superior stupidity.
You people are angry at the wrong thing. You're angry that OpenAI is allowed to break copyright laws but Deepseek is not allowed to break copyright laws. You should be angry that copyright laws exist at all. You should be advocating for abolishing copyright laws and for strengthening privacy laws. Doing that would be in your long term overall best interest.

There should be no copyright laws.
There should be no patent laws.
Abolishing those laws would be the best society for the most people.

Privacy laws for personal data are good though.

So OpenAI, Deepseek and everyone else should be allowed to use all other data generated by biological humans and generated by digital humans, for whatever they want, including letting both kinds of humans read any book ever written, watch any movie / TV series ever produced, any music ever made and so on.
