I slept like trash last night, so I may be a having a dunce moment, but… uh… how does one get an endash out of a SwiftUI.Text()? Simply typing it doesn't *seem* to do the trick…?

@caseyliss Hm. Just typing one with option + - seemed to work for me.

Text("–")

@brzz I don’t think it’s rendered when presented though. But I could be holding it wrong
@caseyliss (I would just like to remind everyone that the Mac does not have an “Alt” key, regardless of what may be printed on your key caps.)
@siracusa @caseyliss I salute you, but this is a lost cause.
@drdrang That’s madness. I’ll surrender when Apple does.
@siracusa Oh, I refuse to call it anything but Option, but I’ve given up fighting about it. There are just too many arrivistes to deal with.
@drdrang @siracusa The Endless September Event.
@drdrang Next you’ll be agreeing that copy is Control-C.
@siracusa @drdrang Working 20 years in IT, I still have to remember to say Enter and not Return when speaking with a Windows user.
@siracusa @drdrang pretty sure copy is middle click
@drdrang @siracusa I still think of it as the Closed-Apple key.
@siracusa ...and then the next thing you know Delete is getting called Backspace or Rubout!
@robnee @siracusa let’s not forget the ⌧ Clear key that no-one really knows what to do with these days.

@sdjmchattie What? 😅 I use it all the time in calculator! 🤓

Best key ever!
