As part of my strategy to rebuild and curate my own music library I bought Benjamin Tod's "Songs I swore I'd never sing" for #BandcampFriday. It's a very honest record and the type of music I aspire to write.
I hope #Bandcamp can get around to update its social media share buttons at some point. Those look like they've been updated last around 2010 or so.

After watching the rather mediocre new Frankenstein movie by Guillermo del Toro I thought I‘d give the source material a go.

Ha, I sent a couple of text messages over RCS to a friend and it got delivered completely out of order. At least according to iMessage on my end. It‘s not like it needed to make sense or anything.

It's so interesting to me how people use computers so differently. You think just because you're used to do it a certain way everybody does it that way.
Apparently Launchpad being discontinued in #macOS 26 in favor of an "improved" Spotlight has people up in arms. I always regarded Launchpad as poor iOS-like alternative to using the Finder to organize and find your installed apps.
But since many people found their way to a Mac via iPhone it makes perfectly sense.

I got a Late 2016 15" Macbook Pro from eBay for only 150€ because the battery was dead. Otherwise it's in pristine condition. Even the keyboard.
Last night I replaced the dead battery with tools and parts from @iFixit and let me tell you: the repair score of 1/10 is no exaggeration. What an absolute disaster this architecture is.
Dissolving the glue and cleaning the frame without damaging any parts was very challenging.
But I was successful. This will be a gift to a friend.
Who in their right mind will buy an updated M5 Vision Pro after last week's news that #Apple has halted all hardware development to chase the Meta AI Glasses hype?
