The ONLY reason the Trump administration is censoring the words climate change and destroying federal climate science is to keep profits rolling into the fossil-fuel industry a little longer, at the cost of the planet.

Do the companies pay taxes – and how much, also compared to a small company with for example 10 workers installing PV or heatpumps ?

@petergleick In Trump's view, "America First" means America shall not blink first. Putting American businesses up front in all federal policies means exactly what we're seeing: stop leading any industry backoffs for the sake of climate, and put an end to wars so that American developers can build their Gaza Riviera, and make Ukrainian mineral deals, and anything else that prioritize business opportunities today over global stability rooted in justice.

@petergleick I think it's also to create more division and unrest within the country as it definitely is an observable pattern in many of his group's actions. Often, it's not about direct benefits, like in this case I believe the indirect benefits of long term unrest in USA will be even more significative for China/Russia alliances(like SCO) than any petrol deal.
