It remains the single greatest disappointment to me that 3D Printers don't have a microwave ding it plays at the end of a job.
Sure, you could probably rig something yourself, but it should be a default.

@dutchbarracuda would be cool till it wakes you up at 2am and leaves you wondering who is using your microwave...
@dutchbarracuda I saw a mod once where they had added gcode to the end script that made the head pass by the rear corner of the bed. The print head would catch a “hammer” that was mounted to a spring and slap a bell when it passed. DING!
Ya might need to remove that if you made a full bed print.

At the beginning, the replicator-type printers had a melody played at the end. (The wooden ones by makerbot industries, before buyed out and integrated to stratasys)

On #reprap machines with repetierHost Software i set a big bell sound at end of print jobs, played on the host computer.

You can get away with toggle a pin at the printer electronics with a gcode command in thr costom end.gcode and then ring a mechanical bell with electronagnet or play a mp3 tone by sound module.

My creality K1 and Ender3 have a beeper, and I've added end-gcode to beep when it finishes.
