@Viss Libreoffice it is then
@fere i wonder if theres an obsidian plugin to export markdown text into pretty pdfs
@Viss I feel an article is building up here. European and/or ad-free alternatives to big tech software. Give me a couple of weeks and I should have some experience in that as well. Just have to learn how to write articles first 😄
@Viss @fere If not, run pandoc on the markdown. (Might require a working LaTeX installation.)
@Viss @fere You could convert Markdown to Typst and then to PDF: https://imaginarytext.ca/posts/2024/pandoc-typst-tutorial/
Using Pandoc and Typst to Produce PDFs

@Viss Google Docs it is, then!
@stilescrisis @Viss I understand the sentiment of this comment but it is deeply funny to me.

@Viss 😱

Sooo...ads have targeting and targeting will be based on contents of word/excel file.

Make a completely innocent file with keywords for a bad ad purchased to infect those that open your absolutely clean phish, plus any others who get it as a drive by? 😈

@zombie042 also fun dns based attack surface to perhaps get ntlm hashes out of these things without any interaction from the user!
@Viss and they will stuff AI into it to try and make it useful in 3...2..

@Viss they put them in the android app ages ago.

Twist: I'm a paid subscriber.

@Viss
This should be shocking. Why isn't this shocking?
@FritzAdalis because microsoft
@Viss
Yeah, I guess once there's ads in the start menu and the control panel and the browser it's not far for the spreadsheet to fall.
