This is why you should block all AI bots and not allow them to train on your data (well, everything is already stolen but you can protect your future data). They train their AI on your data and then abuse everyone else. Please don't enable these monsters and be part of abuse. Block them.

Peter Petermann@nixCraft This post misrepresents how things work (bots usually use already trained AI, because you don't want some 4chan assholes to feed it racist shit to it, and its easier to scrape content than to have it from interaction). And calling AI monsters (the AI models we have are far from being self-conscious yet) or claiming all AI used to be abused is just nonsense polemic.

While I'm okay with search engine bots visiting, I want to exclude AI ones from doing so!
Gokul Das@toran @nixCraft Include a robots.txt with forbidden links. Add those links to your home page and some other pages, but keep them hidden from users. Don't give the user a visible hyperlink to click.
The ones that hit those forbidden pages will either be a malicious indexing bot or an AI scraping bot. Program your server to continuously feed only AI generated gibberish to all requests from that source after the event.

Jeff Atwood@nixCraft I don't think we can put that genie back in the bottle. We need to educate people that it's a very sophisticated statistical parrot, and it's only good when paired with a talented human.

sounds like the idjits have been terrorizing their parents' (likely already exploited and abused) employees since they were teens. fully makes sense they'd turn into young men who want further the model and multiply profits.
