While possible, I don't believe it is likely that we will make a sustained conversion to feudalism in Europe or even the US.

We need to be cognizant of the challenges we face & work to overcome them but there is precedent for doing it without revolution.

There is no precedent for doing it without revolution. You hoping that there is doesn't make it so.

@Radical_EgoCom @bebadefabo @srijit

Beyond the odd limitations of the timeline you choose to reflect upon, there is precedent. If your goal is to understand. I ask you look at how economic systems have changed abstract from the 200Y view you're married too.

Research the move away from Feudalism and mercantilism. Economic system change occurs when the right social, political and economical landscape emerges. Long lasting change is built on gradual system development.

So, you're just going to pretend that there were no revolutions in the transition from feudalism to capitalism? I guess the American Revolution and the French Revolution never happened to you?

"Revolutionaries were undeniably impactful but incremental change has made its mark" ~ Luke Leal Barros (24/02/2025)

@LukeLeal @bebadefabo @srijit

You giving this quote as a response shows that you're missing the point in what I'm saying. I'm not denying that incremental change has an impact. It even has an impact on the creation of revolutions. What I'm denying is the ability of incremental change in creating the changes that only a revolution can create, that being the complete destruction of the capitalist system and its institutions. #socialism #capitalism

Hold on for a second.

You had only one message before this, said I don't recognise the importance revolution has played in Human history. I reshared the comment I made to you, stating the opposite. You retort you don't know who it is & question the relevancy??

Full circle, back to your original point regarding abolishment of capitalism. My point: Political pressure can help & democracies can purge without overt violence.

#capitalism #socialism

@LukeLeal @bebadefabo @srijit

"Political pressure can help..."

I never said that it couldn't help.

"...democracies can purge without overt violence."

I have no idea what you mean by "purge." Purge what, exactly? Capitalist exploitation, oppression, and inequality? Those things are inherent to capitalism and can only be removed with the complete removal of capitalism, which will require some sort of revolution, which will likely be met with resistance from the capitalist ruling class,... 1/2

...which would likely result in violence between them and the revolutionary workers. 2/2
