A European Army - How Would It Actually Work?

1.4 million soldiers, thousands of tanks, and a unified EU command — a European Army that rivals the U.S. sounds incredible. But is it even possible? This video explores how an EU army could actually work, the obstacles in its way, and why the U.S. might not be too happy about it.

Cutting caffeine from my life was one of the best decisions I made in 2024. Less anxious in meetings and no more afternoon slump. Strongly recommend switching to barley

Rasmus Jarlov Danish Parliament:

Here is Europe. We have happily paid three times as much to Ukraine as the USA. We are not asking for anything in return and we are not extorting the Ukrainians while they are fighting for their lives. Because we are not assholes.

Thank you, Rasmus!

#Ukraine must be strong so that diplomacy can work successfully through that strength. A great deal of diplomacy is already in motion, and developments will only speed up.

In the age of Trump and Putin, Irish neutrality is a comfortable but dangerous illusion

Ireland’s neutrality, once understandable, has become a harmful relic in the current security climate. It is necessary to move beyond this stance, pursue military cooperation with neighbors, and recognize Europe’s evolving defense needs.

In the age of Trump and Putin, Irish neutrality is a comfortable but dangerous illusion

Ireland has maintained a policy of neutrality since 1922. Gerard Delanty argues that with the demise of Europe’s security architecture, neutrality is now little more than a comforting illusion. Iri…

I wonder how you could make a capitalist system truly fair. Where those who bring the best ideas and create the most value rise to the top over their lifetime.

Maybe aiming for equality of upbringing in all years pre-18/21. 100% estate taxes, we all start from €0. With socialised amenities as well as housing & education.

Although, I think, when you factor in overcoming social issues like race & gender it would become a never-ending challenge.

My view is that capitalism is flawed. I would love to see us begin socialising areas of our economy slowly over time.

Areas inc: Trains, Buses, Healthcare, Insurance & Banking

You haven't been paying attention to reality if you think Ukraine is at all to blame for the war ravaging their country. To my US friends, listen to Republican Thom Tillis:

"If you believe Ukraine is a country an ocean away and not relevant to our national security think again. The world is small. The world is watching. The strength of our alliances are on the line and the world is on the line. If we do anything less than defeat Vladamir Putin" ~ Thom Tilliis

Few things annoy me more than a leftist that loudly cries for social change but goes on to belittle the intellect and output of those at the bottom of our society

Who is the dictator?

Trump: "I have an Article II, where I have the right to do whatever I want as president."

Zelenskyy: "I do not want my picture in your offices. Hang your kids' photos instead, and look at them each time you make a decision."

Who truly serves the people, who serves themselves?
