Just pause all trade relationships with the US while the orange idiot and his junta are in power, and close off the border to the US. It may hurt you in the short run, but it'll hurt you much more in the long run to accommodate that clown.

And if they don't want to buy more from you then maybe you need to review what you have to offer them (e.g. in terms of relevance, pricing and quality)?
@kiefheim @MeanwhileinCanada Trump sees business as a zero-sum game: if the balance tips one way or the other that side is «winning». And he does not understand that when you buy something you get goods in return.
Anyway, if Canada turns off the oil and gas going to the US the balance will switch, if that is what Trump wants…

Well, the thing you have to remember is that Trump makes it a personal policy to not pay for anything. He thinks it's embarrassing that the US is paying Canada for... goods and services. The advantage he sees us taking is... expecting payment for the shit they buy.
So, by his definitions, we're absolutely taking advantage of the US.
