I can confirm after about half an hour of editing and reading, it's nice.
39,000 words. I don't know how a net gain of 2,800 words happened in two short sessions of casually sitting in front of the story, supposedly in an editing pass, but succeeding with a few todo items of worldbuilding and making the plot more coherent.
