Good morning Mastodonians! Well, yesterday's house inspection was interesting; the bad news was that there was evidence of termites, so further inspection needs to be done (by the sellers) to see how extensive the damage is and what treatment is needed if I'm going to buy it. Good news was that everything else was manageable...so if the termite issue can be resolved, I very well might go for that place.

And I learned that there's invasive Asian termites in the South that eat up stuff superfast and are hard to treat....another good reason not to move south for retirement...

A reminder that the climate crisis is real, climate change is happening, and all the wild weather we're seeing is caused by it.

Also a reminder that the billionaire class doesn't care unless it will make them money, despite the fact that they are the primary drivers behind said crisis, not everyday people struggling to get by and trying to figure out which plastic is recyclable.
