#1️⃣@ClintonAnderson that was my take as well. My understanding was that this guy is basically a Canadian Trump. You can even see it as he uses the same verbiage, with the whole "we're going to win the fight" narrative.
Trading isn't a fight, a "trade war" isn't a war, it's just bad business decisions made by worse businessmen who end up in power.
I will say that I, as an American, welcome the move, I just hope folks up there don't let this buy him any goodwill.
