Hey, #Mastobrain: Is there such a thing as an application for managing local photos on Mac?

1. I'm thinking something like how Picasa used to work before Google killed it to force us onto Photos. (Edit: For the uninitiated, it would find every image file on the harddrive & present them in one consolidated, sortable, searchable "feed")

2. Adobe & other major tech players are off the table.

Just wondering, especially after having downloaded my Photos library...

@jwcph Try Darktable, a free open source app https://www.darktable.org

@rwaddilove Thank you, looks interesting - unfortunately support starts at MacOS 13.5 & I'm in 12 & can't progress any further due to a case of "very old Macbook Pro" 🤷
@jwcph Older versions of Darktable will probably work: https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/releases

@rwaddilove Thank you - I tried, but every time I visit Github I remember why I try not to visit Github... 😱
