Mark could speak up. He could take a stand. He could use even a fraction of his power to defend the institutions and principles he once claimed to cherish.
Instead, he cringes. He capitulates. He collaborates.
This man is a coward. And no amount of corporate jargon or performative masculinity can make that stain go away.
@JosjeT For Zuckerberg and Bezos it's pretty obvious they thought they would lose money in a Harris-Walz administration with a Democratic Congress on their coat-tails. So they supported Trump.
Musk and the other AI/crypto bros are flat-out libertarian / fascist / Nazis. They're not afraid of Trump; they're afraid of his absence. The only mystery to me is Tim Cook. I think he genuinely thinks he needs to mollify Trump. But I don't think any of the others are afraid of Trump.

@Daojoan Facebook/Meta is and has always been one of the most destructive and amoral platforms we've created.
Started as a way for Zuckerberg to enable him and his buddies perving over his fellow students while at university, it became a key driver of the kind of misinformation which has convinced half the voting public that fascism is cool.
It swayed elections, it pumped disinformation during Covid - killing thousands and it caused a genocide in Myanmar.
It's evil and so is he.
@Daojoan I've not really had a Facebook account - I opened one, made one post, thought better if it and closed it again. This was at least 15 years ago. It always struck me as profoundly dangerous to give anyone that much data. I've not exactly been proved wrong (unusual for me 😆).
Zuckerberg is a pathetic, craven human being. He's created a monster and done effectively nothing to mitigate its damage. It's an atrocity and he's complicit.
@Daojoan Coward? Sure, maybe. But he started Facebook as a hateful and misogynistic website to mock the appearance of women at his college. The only reason he didn’t act like this before is because his corporate staff told him it was a bad look. He no longer cares about that, because he believes his monopoly cannot be toppled.
