Good article, though the author lost me a little when they suggested that violence was never a solution to opposing AI, and that political solutions were the gold standard. This assumes that you’re dealing with a level playing field and that big tech doesn’t own the government. You can argue against violence in any situation, but where do you draw the line? Should Gaza or Ukraine fight back? Then why not us? This is an existential threat to our survival.

My response to technology displays like this what the hell are they doing?

Look at all the resources that are needed to make that stuff piles and piles and piles of that stuff constructed from opening gaping wounds in the world’s biomes the stuff that defines our climate killing it for a bundle of rock containing minerals. What the heck is all this stuff for?
