Israel released the 90 Palestinian captives very late last night in an effort to prevent celebrations and make them largely invisible.

Hundreds of Palestinians greeted them at the release point in Beitounia, near Ramallah.

Among them was Khalida Jarrar who was almost unrecognisable after the suffering she had endured in Israeli detention

This is a video of her.

Journalist Rula Hassaneen was taken by Israeli forces and separated from her 9-month-old baby girl in March last year. She was accused of "incitement" for commenting on the war in Gaza.

The Israeli military court refused to let her our on bail to take care of her baby who was unwell.

This is the moment Rula sees her daughter for the first time in 10 months. It seems the baby girl doesn't recognise her and asks to go back to her dad. 💔

In occupied East Jerusalem, the Israelis made sure there were no public celebrations. The homes of several Palestinian captives to be released were raided and their families warned not to celebrate.

This is footage of Israeli security forces "releasing" Zena Barbar in Jerusalem. They dragged her into her home the way they had dragged her out.

@mkpetkova Meanwhile, Israelis released by Hamas are sent home with a smile, a goodies bag, and a certificate of participation.

Someone showed it to me on Instagram and I was amazed that they still have the capacity.
