I have been practicing "Once found, place where search began." on my harddrives since 35-odd years. It has lead to me having three-four places for photos, three for books, diy, two for art, one for source code, one for projects and so on. About 20 years ago I started moving those into a "Div" folder on my D drive and sync it to all computers. Makes it easy to make incremental backup of everything important too.
Now if IRL would be as easy to organize...

My brain: "I'm never going to need this information ever again in my entire life."

This seems to be especially true for the contents of refrigerators.

I find the original of the thing I just replaced.
