Clearing out my 'random downloaded image directory' a bit, might post some here before (or instead of) deleting, so brace yourselves.

Librarian Humour:
This was named train-delayed.jpg
@TicklishHoneyBee Also I forgot the thing even exists at all as it left my field of view since more than 2 minutes.
@TicklishHoneyBee
It's always in the last place you look. πŸ€”
@TicklishHoneyBee I don't remember who told me "if you can't find something, once you do find it, put it in the first place you started looking" but that advice has drastically improved my ability to find stuff over the years.

@TheRealPomax @TicklishHoneyBee

I have been practicing "Once found, place where search began." on my harddrives since 35-odd years. It has lead to me having three-four places for photos, three for books, diy, two for art, one for source code, one for projects and so on. About 20 years ago I started moving those into a "Div" folder on my D drive and sync it to all computers. Makes it easy to make incremental backup of everything important too.

Now if IRL would be as easy to organize...

@eq_ @TicklishHoneyBee It is, but it does require buying the real life equivalent of hard drives. Clear storage boxes exist in all sizes for a reason =D
@TicklishHoneyBee I just bought a third one ( yes, I already misplaced it twice)
@TicklishHoneyBee oof ouch this cuts to the fucking bone

@TicklishHoneyBee
Me: "Okay, I'm going to put this thing riiiiiight here so I don't forget it next time I need it."

My brain: "I'm never going to need this information ever again in my entire life."

@TicklishHoneyBee
Hiding in plain sight.

This seems to be especially true for the contents of refrigerators.

@TicklishHoneyBee @mattiem I will give up and replace thing. When it comes time to put it away I'll think of a place that I won't forget in the future. When I go to put thing there…

I find the original of the thing I just replaced.

@TicklishHoneyBee you forgot the "in my pockets (I forgot)" 1/3rd
@TicklishHoneyBee you didn’t have to attack everyone here personally.

@TicklishHoneyBee The worst is: another person put it away.
This way it turns invisible.

INVISIBLE I say!

@TicklishHoneyBee I am very much in this picture and there is nothing I can do about it.
@TicklishHoneyBee its 10cm besides the last place I chose for it. It might as well be hidden underground, I wont be able to find it
@TicklishHoneyBee Oh, look! It's the combination of the lock I'm supposed to open three hours from now.
@TicklishHoneyBee I lost so many lip balms in "the perfect little pocket"
@TicklishHoneyBee With enough speed you can surely cross that track
@TicklishHoneyBee Never let Dr. Seuss design your railroad tracks!
@TicklishHoneyBee reminds me of the time my fren made a flamethrower out of a fire extinguisher
@TicklishHoneyBee Perfectly balanced. Thanos would approve.
@TicklishHoneyBee I feel like the colours on these should be reversed. Blue to cool things down and red to heat things up.
@TicklishHoneyBee that's already the case ... not in the interesting sex, drugs, and rock and roll way but in the "This person is a great example of why social welfare helps people is a net good for society" way
@TicklishHoneyBee Thanks for the alt text. I didn't get it without.
