Current knitting project! Another top-down one-piece sweater 😅

Not 100% sure about the colours, but 🤷‍♂️

The pattern is “The Beauceron” on Ravelry (link below). I think the colours in the example photos are much nicer, but mustard yellow doesn’t look good on me, and I couldn’t find that grey in the material/price point I wanted.

The Beauceron pattern by Designs by Delz

Laurian was my mother’s father. He was a proud Beauceron, i.e. an inhabitant of the Beauce region in Quebec, Canada. Laurian is also the name that Amélie from Émilia & Philomène gave the gray colourway I used to design this sweater. A gray that reminded me of the many suits I’ve seen my grandfather wear.

I shouldn’t have started The Separation so close to bed-time, but at least it’s done now!

Update! I finally got some more time to work on this, and finally I’m at the part where it transitions to just the grey for the rest of the body 🎉🎉🎉

This week is really busy, and maybe next week, but hopefully I get a few quiet nights and can smash out some rounds 😀

It’s all just plain knit from here to the ribbing, but alternate rows have a single slipped stitch at the beginning of round and middle of round. Going to be a pain to remember, but probably not very noticeable if I forget 😊

Got through about an inch tonight while watching a couple of episodes of Bake Off.

Three inches of grey done, only another six or seven before starting the ribbing!

Also getting the colour right in this photo was a pain. But this is pretty close :)

Hurry up and dry already!!

Mostly blocked to pin out the collar. My first raglan (a green one) has a collar that is a bit tight (probably needs more blocking).

My second (a navy one) has a collar that’s waaaay too big (probably a cow neck by design?).

Hopefully this one will come out okay and won’t constantly touch my neck 😅 considering that the rest of the sweater is a bit big for me.

@shieldsy05 looks great, nice fit, too
@shieldsy05 Put a marker? I love using markers!
@KarenStrickholm yeah it’s more because it’s alternating rows 😅 I have a row counter, but it doesn’t help if you forget to click it at the end of the row!
@shieldsy05 I always mess up with those clickers!
@shieldsy05 whoa is this, like, a hooodie sweater knit in-the-round?

@mirbrewer it’s a top-down, one-piece sweater 😊 it should be really good!

Hopefully I got the gauge right on this one 😂

The pattern link is in the first toot :)

@shieldsy05 wow, you're fast 🤗

@whittenbourg haha thanks I was pretty close to this when I posted the first pictures :P

This has taken me about 3.5 weeks so far :)

@shieldsy05 I see. Still, you're fast...😆😀
