Glitch sweater pants, 2014

This outfit was part of Duncan Chambers-Watson's Otago Polytechnic graduate collection, which was inspired by religious iconography in dystopian science fiction. The sweater was inspired by faulty digital files and glitches and realising half downloaded files as real garments. The pants are a combination of ideas from jet pilot G-suit pants and punk signifiers.

#Sweater

Report on my first all-over color work sweater. Swatching Done ✅ Corrugated ribbing done ✅ Did something wrong with increases and didn't realize it until three plain rows and the end of the first row of color work. Ripped out and redid increases and finished the first row of color work.   #knitting #ColorWork #sweater

Hmmm, where on a sweater is the best place to put a band of colourwork? I don't want it too high... or too low... but this looks just right.

(This is a future machine-knit project. Please imagine 2" of solid ribbing at the hems/cuffs and also a neckline; the design software doesn't include that for some reason, but it will be on the actual sweater. I'm thinking black for the cuffs/hem and pink for the neckline.)

Finished a knitted black tanktop in 8/4 black cotton yarn (EU needles 2,5) for kiddo and started another crochet sweater for her. This sweater is going to be the same type of model as the purple/black one from a few posts back but this one is going to be green/black instead and is in a slightly thinner cotton 8/4 yarn.
