If you take criticisms of billionaires personally I can only conclude you believe you have a chance of being one.
My dudes.
You do not.

@peteriskrisjanis @Daojoan The American Dream is to be successful and live a fulfilling and happy life.
Unfortunately our zero sum capitalistic system has corrupted the American Dream into something that is perceived to only be achievable by means of cheating the system and taking advantage of those who are less fortunate.
Coupling this with a disassociation with our friends and neighbors because of social media and politics has only made more Americans numb to the effects of their actions.
@Daojoan Bill Gates is arguably the only billionaire whom I actually respect, but only because I know for a fact he isn’t an idiot. He actually did write Microsoft Windows and came up with niche solutions to algorithms that we have only been able to improve by a tiny bit today.
So, if people were to criticise him in that regard, I would push back on that. But in every other way…yeah, you got nothing from me. He’s still a billionaire, no matter how brilliant.
@enoch_exe_inc @Daojoan read up on Bill Gates' habit of "brain-raping" (his term) the competition.
A lot of those cool ideas he implemented were not his ideas at all.
Having said that, the Gates Foundation does appear to be a force for good.
*Shrug* maybe people are complicated
@Daojoan this is actually a sign of empathy, towards the wrong group, but still.
It's crazy seeing people putting themselves in the place of a billionaire instead of a homeless person, their delusional optimism prevents them from seeing that they're closer to the latter than the first.
@Daojoan Also: if you think you have what it takes to be a billionaire, you are saying you are a sociopath who cares nothing about exploiting people and stealing wealth.
Because it is not possible to earn a billion dollars.
