I can't believe it took us almost nine months (!) to get to Back to the Future Part II. I also didn't remember that part two and three were filmed back-to-back. They even showed previews of the third movie at the end of this one. Given our current trajectory we'll watch #3 in August 2025. 🙈

In Frankfurt with Claudio for our end-of-year Haptiq meet-up. It is no secret that I am very apprehensive when it comes to LLMs. However, earlier today Claudio showed me some very cool stuff, he has built with the help of – his almost namesake – Claude. So I caved in and created an account to try it myself. 🫣 I mean, it surely can help with simple tasks, no? I am tired. I think the dark time of year is getting to me. Went for an early morning Gruga walk after dropping off the kids. There is always that funny feeling: I have my camera with me – of course – and I know that I will get something before leaving the park, but I never know what it will be. It's a bit like a treasure hunt, without the suspense. I just walk – and look around. And then, there it is. Today it was this wire frame construction covered in a tangle of bare branches with tendrils sticking out in all directions.

A tree was cut down in your backyard today. Suvi was really sad about it. The landscape gardener explained to us that the tree was infected by a fungus and would most likely have come down on its own during the next storm – and possibly in the direction of the house. Even though these pictures have a sad vibe to them – and I just took them today, I already know they will be among my favorites from this year.

Still not feeling great. Made it out of the house for a little bit, though. Took a picture of my family inspecting some random stuff people put out on the street. My wife usually finds something „useful“ – much to my dismay. 😂 As if we didn't have enough „stuff“ already. But I digress. Tomorrow will be the final post of the 366 project. The year long journey will find its end. I have no clue what I will photograph. There is no preconceived concept to any of this, so I guess it will be random, just like all the other days before. 🙂

Is it ready yet? We had raclette for the last dinner of 2024. Unfortunately we couldn't get together with the neighbors as we had originally planned, because they are sick as well. Bets are still open whether Suvi will be awake at midnight. I said before, that I consider it a super power to sleep through the fireworks. And just like that, this concludes the 366 project I started on January 1st. 😱 I'll post a little bit about my takeaways soon, but right now, I just want to say thank you to everyone that followed along – and especially to the fine people, that bought a zine this year. ❤️ It felt amazing sending those out all over the world! The final edition (part IV) will be out in January. No post tomorrow. 🥺 Have a great 2025. Happy New Year! ✨

Ich werde auf jeden Fall weiter posten, aber erstmal wieder ohne Druck das täglich machen zu müssen. Hab daher gestern gezielt einen Tag Pause eingelegt, um die Serie bei 366 Tagen zu unterbrechen.
Habe darüber nachgedacht in 2025 monatliche Projekte zu machen, bin mir aber noch unsicher wie fest ich mich im Moment festlegen möchte. 🙂
