@s1m0n4 Oh wow, we have so many types of pastry with sweetened poppy or jam, that it's hard to say. :)
You probably mean these caloric bombs, as they are very traditional and probably famous in other countries.

Not sure how to translate the name ("makové a lekvárove buchty"), but it's probably something like "baked buns stuffed with poppy and jam". Quite unimaginative and literal name, but what can you do. :)
And yes, I love them, especially when homemade. :)
@ticho they look delicious 😋! I wasn't referring to that though. It's a whole cake without eggs, if I remember correctly. The jam is on top and the poppy seeds are in the dough.
Now I want those buns ♥️
@s1m0n4 I don't think I know then. There are two or three cakes thst I've had in the past that could match the description, but neither was anything regular or widespread.
WTL@s1m0n4 Oh, and as to your snowman emoji up there, there was already a huge, about 3 meters tall snowman (five or six balls on top of each other!) built on a nearby meadow.
Considering there was no snow at all yet just 3 hours before that, someone was pretty quick! :)
